Now that we've finished the book, what type of project should we do? Write your suggestions here. :)

  1. I think we should do something original and not relating to any of the other projects we've done this year like a play that is a mini red scarf girl.

  2. i don't know about everybody else, but I like the idea that we write a diary entry from the point of view of someone who was effected in the Revolution. (i.e red guard)

  3. i think that we should do absolutely nothing, but there is a catch. We have to read an extra 200 pages on our reading log

  4. Let's make up a game for the red scarf girl and play it OUTSIDE. It could be like soccer with red guards against black whelps.

    1. We could like have rules that follow red guards were we all have to run at the same pace.

  5. I think we should do what we did with Call of the Wild where we each research a different topic.

  6. 1. Your Choice Expository Writing

    2. PowerPoint (must have minimum requirement, though)

    3. Biography of Ji-Li (write about her life)

    4. Persuasive Essay of topics of the poll (IF YOU WERE JI-LI WOULD YOU TESTIFY AGAINST YOUR FATHER?)

    5. In-depth book review

    6. Persuasive essay (if Mao's philosophies could possibly or could not be possibly worked out)

  7. I think we should do something where act out what we would do if we were in that situation. So we could make a script, and then act it out! We could be truthful, serious, but funny at the same time.

  9. I think we should totally do a game. It would be so fun! I would also love to do a dairy entry from a person affected in the revolution.

  12. My ideas:
    1) Create a board game version of the book.
    2) Design an activity that connects to the book.
    3) Write a choose your own adventure story about the Cultural Revolution.
    4) Write an expository report of about another period of time in history that reminds you of the Cultural Revolution, and point out the connections.

  13. You could make fake Facebook profiles for several characters, too. You'd have to put a lot of work into these to make them project-worthy though.

  15. I would like to do a game that we all would contribute to that we could play either inside or outside. I don't have much specifics about it, but it sounds like fun.
